Community Service

We would like to thank all the players and parents for helping out with the Community Service activity with the Food Bank of WNY this past Friday.  The event was a huge success, there were 3 pallets collected last year and this year there were 12 pallets collected!!!  Thank you for all your donations and time spent.  Please have a very happy and safe holiday!!!!

We have our first community service activity planned out and under way!!!!  Ginny Callahan and Katia Sarokon along with the Food Bank of Western NY, Tops Markets and Channel 2 news have come up with a way for our whole club to be involved in this.
We will have barrels set up at each of the three venues, Sahlen's, Sportsplex and Epic for everyone to place their non-parishable food items in from December 1st until December 13th.  You can collect things from family and neighbors, drop them in the barrels at any location.
On Friday December 14th we are scheduled us to be at the Tops Market (Target Plaza) Niagara Falls Blvd, Niagara Falls location.  Teams will be taking shifts.  Since we have training that night, our team is scheduled to be at this location from 9-11pm.  Please wear your Buffalo United apparel, we will be representing the club and our team.  There will be a tent with heaters set up and a truck for us to load at some point.  We will bring the food collected from our venues, and add it to what we collect that day.  Channel 2 will be filming at our location during some point in the day, not sure when. This is one of the five area Tops that Channel 2 collects at.  Our help is needed most there!
We need as many parents to work the morning shifts while the kids are at school, any time from 6:45am to 11pm.  If you can be there, Ginny and I plan on being there all day, please let me know.
Your help and kindness are greatly appreciated, especially this time of year!  Let's make this a great event!
Please contact Katia Sarokon for more information
